Lucky Trixie ( love that name)  that you found her. As for her not being pretty well...It's in the eye of the beholder.  It takes but a little while before you start seeing your dear ones with your heart and not your eyes anyway.  after years and years of being overlooked, Trixie finally had years and years of love with you.

Thank you all for your kind words.  Trixie Leigh was simply a sweetheart and our home seems quite empty without her.  Our stray failure, Bud, is especially missing her, since he sat with her every day out on the deck and gave her lots of kisses (we were never sure what she thought of that).  She is now pain-free and running with our beautiful Darcy, her favorite.  Thanks again!

I'm so very sorry for the passing of your Sweet Trixie.  If there's one good consulation, it's that Sweet Darcy was at the Bridge to greet her with open "paws."

My own personal opinion - all cats & dogs are pretty/handsome.  I'm so glad you opened your home to her.  As you said, it's the others' loss for not knowing Trixie's love as you did.

Most of here know the heartbreak when this happens.  Sending you prayers & hugs to let you know we care.

Rest assured that your loving care and open heart in fully sharing your life with Trixie erased what came before you scooped her up and out of tough times.  Angels on this earth like you have that effect, you know.

Your Trixie only knew unbounded love as she made the transition to her next journey--there's no doubt because it's evident from the way you write about her.

I know your heart is hurting but I hope that, in time, you gain some comfort and solace in knowing that she had the ultimate happiness with you, a happiness that has no end because you gave it selflessly and without reservation. She knew joy and always will.
