Many years ago I had a Siamese mix cat (Daisy) and she liked to sleep under the Christmas tree.  One day I was in the bathroom and out of the corner of my eye I saw the Christmas tree slowly fall over.  She had tried to crawl up the trunk.  A few of my grandmother's ornaments were broken and I sat on the floor and cried.  I did glue them back together and they look pretty good.  Daisy only lived to be a year old.  She had feline leukemia.  This was way back before shelters tested for this disease.  She was a cutie. Your picture is gorgeous & you're right, it's very festive.  Really makes a house a home.  What a beautiful pooch.
