Re: New Grandpuppy Needs a Name

I named my first rescue Jade because it meant a mother's love in Spanish, I had read. Jade had come up from Puerto Rico and was named Pouncer.  She was such a beautiful girl, definitely no way a Pouncer!

My present rescue was named Shadow and because he had been in rescue for quite awhile, I hesitated to changing his name so when adopted, he became Shadow-Jaden, because I knew my Jade had brought him to me.

However, we were watching a movie one day and the name Eddy was called out which he reacted to.  I asked him if his real name had been Eddy (which was possible since he was found in Manhattan - remember Frasier) so we changed his name!  Eddy named himself, Eddy!
