Need to ask for a favor . . .

One of our tuxedo cats, Fred, is not feeling well. He's been laying around more than usual, not eating much and he has not come to bed with us for a few days-he always sleeps between us. So I made an urgent appointment with the vet and will take him in tomorrow morning for a complete physical. Bloodwork, dental, x-rays, ultrasound etc.  Fred is probably 16 years old, he showed up in our yard one day and eventually we adopted him. This is Fred waiting for the traffic jam to clear up when we were heading home from Florida this past spring!

@We rescue cats - What is the favor?  Prayers for Fred to be okay?  You've got them, if that's what you need.  Heart

It's so difficult when one of our beloved furbabies isn't well and we don't know what's wrong.

Let's hope this is just a couple of off days - just like we humans have!

Check back and let us know what you find out.

Re: Need to ask for a favor . . .

Thank you for adopting Fred and giving him a life of luxury, he'd never known. He looks like he's in charge of the trip on the dashboard.

I join the group in hoping that he will have a positive Vet visit and improvement. But, at 16, it's already a blessing that you made his senior years beautiful, through loving care.

Fred was lucky to find you. You have done, and continue to do the best for Fred. Whichever way it goes, never forget the positive impact you've had on his life.

@We rescue cats

So sorry to hear that your little love isn't feeling well. I know for most of us when our little guys aren't feeling good it's the worst feeling and creates so much anxiety.

Let's hope that he's just feeling a little under the weather like we all do from time to time. Sending you all and little Fred healing vibes and hugs!

Now Little Fred (cutie)  stop worrying your mom!

Re: Need to ask for a favor . . .

Hope it's nothing serious..had a similar issue with my 19 yr. old calico..after all the tests..the outcome was to give her a quarter teaspoon of Miralax mixed in her  wet food..once a day..after 2 days she was back to her old lazy self..My vet said she's old and she doesn't move around like she used to..Hope that is all it is for Fred.
