This is my 11 month old rescue, Duke.

He's such a love.  He has some anxiety but is getting better every day.  He's afraid of flies. I was told he was in a bad situation but I wasn't able to get details.  I think he may of been left outdoors and must of had them bothering him because he runs and hides under the bed and shakes.  Anyone else experience this with their dog?

@simplyfriends   I have no advice about the flies,  but he sure is a cutie pie !   It's wonderful that Duke now has a forever home with you .  He will come around shelter animals always need to adjust and at there own time .  Just needs tons of live which I know you'll give him.

He is adorable!  Looks like he has some terrier in him.  He will come around when he feels safe.  He knows you love him and that's what is important now.  About the flies, you could move to Florida, I don't see many of them here.

OMG this is just what I needed today.  Such a handsome boy and the anxiety will wear off.  Thank you for adopting I'm sure you and Duke will have many good days to come.  Also I love when little dogs have a macho name.

@Bonkers1  thank you I've been wanting to adopt and when I saw Duke I just knew he was the one.  I also have an 8 year old cat and so far so good.  They are in the same room and no fighting, yay!

Yep.  I had a 100lb Rottweiler that was home raised that was afraid of flies all her life.  No other flying insect bothered her. 🤷‍♀️

Duke is a cutie! It will take time, patience and lots of love for him to trust again. He's lucky that he found a loving home; I'm so glad you adopted him @simplyfriends . I'm glad he's getting along with your cat...maybe your cat will end up helping him too with his anxiety and feeling safe.

@simplyfriends    How adorable!  Sending Duke gentle hugs and belly rubs along with woofs.  May he enjoy a long and healthy life with you filled with love.
