This story has made me remember something from back around 1970.

We lived close to the municipal pool, within walking distance.

My two younger sisters found a beautiful black curly haired cocker spaniel roaming loose at the pool, which was next to a large park.

The dog, of course, followed them home.  We put an ad in the lost and found, but never heard anything back.

I think we had that dog about 5 months, before it finally got around to the owner, another girl close to my sisters' age, that we had a black cocker spaniel.

By this time, we had given her a new name, "Blossom", and had grown quite attached to her.  We really felt that she was better off with us.  

Well, what can you do when the real owner shows up for "Lady"?  Broken hearts for a few days.  If only all lost dogs were so fortunate.

Thank you @MoJoV, today was the first day that he is back to normal 100%. This was earlier today, hanging out with Khloe.

He was found 10 days later @Boop4321   He is back home. He went missing January 5th.

They were the longest 10 days @Boop4321 but we are so glad to have him back.
