@rustysmom   Yes, it is one of the hardest things we will ever do.  I am so sorry for your loss.  Your precious Jasmine is no longer suffering and i know she was a well loved kitty. Saying goodbye to a family member is just so hard.  My love to you and your family during this challenging time.Heart

Cat Sympathy

My sympathies for the passing of sweet Jasmine ... and for

the loss of your kitty in June.    I lost my kitty in June as well, so

I am sure they both are playing together where there is no more

sadness or pain.  ((Hugs))   @rustysmom

Thank you everyone for your kind words.  Today is a little better since I am at work and busy, less time to think about her.  She was on my heart all night though.  Thanks again.

I had to say goodbye to my 12 year old Jasmine kitty today. She went from 9.5 lbs to barely over 5 lbs since October. At first we just thought it was stress since getting the kitten (Chloe) back in September. Chloe was always bulling her, chasing her, jumping on her and biting her. In the last few weeks she has lost her appetite for the most part. Today the vet found 2 lumps in her abdomen. Between the weight loss and appetite loss it was more than likely cancer so we decided to do what we felt was the best for her and let her go. Saying goodbye is the hardest part of having a pet. She is the 2nd cat we have had to let go in an 8 month period. We had to put our 18 year old Rusty cat down last June. I am going to miss her so much. She was such a sweet loving snuggle bug and it is going to be hard sleeping at night without her snuggles. I love you Miss Jasmine and will miss you so much. RIP my sweet girl, I will always love you. 💔💔😢😿

@rustysmom   So sorry for your loss. Having put down our Sadie just this Monday, I’m right there with you...still crying, grieving, etc. Know that we did what is best when we love our pets...the last great act of love. We set them free from pain. We will always love and miss them. They know that. It’s not forever. We’ll see them again. 💖

@jonnycat @rustysmom I am so sorry for your losses.  I'm sobbing as I read these posts and the beautiful responses.  My sweet SIL and brother are going through this now.  Her sweet boy is end stage of kidney failure.  I have no words to try to comfort her.  My brother's a basket case, this is their 4th baby in 5 years.  They feel they're too old for another -middle 70's.  She has done an amazing job spoon feeding her boy but she knows it's time.  I can remember the day 35 years ago when I had to put my first boy down..  like it was yesterday.  I squeeze and kiss my girls constantly.  Maybe rhere's something wrong with me, but I've taken mine and my SIL's losses harder than human losses.
