My cat looks like a torpedo

Whenever BooBoo lays on his side, he looks exactly like a torpedo and/or an old WWII-type submarine...very round from head to toe, and thicker in the middle. I wouldn't exactly call him fat but he is well-nourished and generally round all over.

 

Has anyone else noticed this about their cat?

Ha ha.  In the exam rooms at my vet clinic, they have charts on the wall showing various views looking down on a cat from above.  They show the preferred silhouette, and then various skinny and increasingly plump views.  My kitty girls aren't obese, but they do tend toward the torpedo view.  They talk me into too many treats, I think.

@FuzzyFace  We had a Siamese Cat years ago that we nicknamed him. THE TORPEDO. He was just a bit overweight....not a good thing for any animal.
