Here in western Washington, a snow day isn't all that common, so when one comes, me and my cat kids have to go out and play in it. They love snow. They will do what I call "snow plow" by sticking their legs down in the snow and pushing it up in clumps. They will run and jump and do all kinds of crazy antics. Since it was such a special day, I wanted to share it with all of you.

Here is Smokey, he just plopped down in the snow. Maybe he wanted to do some Olympic move?

Junior's picture didn't turn out, so I didn't add his, but he's okay with that.

And finally, I made a snow cat, and if you look really, really carefully, you can see Junior's foot print - just under the face, kind of in a straight line between the two stick legs - when he reached up and punched the snow cat in the nose. (naturally I didn't have my camera at that moment)

Snow is common here in the east, so the closest our cats get is watching it come down from indoors while basking in the heat of the duraflame..

That's funny We had a "snow cat" once. He loved to sit in the snow and watch DH shovel the sidewalks.

That is so cute, thanks for posting.   I am an absolute lover of cats, have had them my whole life.   Right now I don't due to the loss of my special Perry a couple of years ago.  I will get another one or two at some point.  I just don't feel ready yet plus we've been traveling more.    So funny how they like the snow, my cat too would love to watch the snowflakes out the window while basking in the warmth of the house!!  LOL- Precious!

Smokey is a mixed breed. His mom was feral and solid black like Teddy. Teddy And Smokey are brothers.

I keep my four kittehs..Samantha,Olivia,Henry

and Jack...inside 24/7...so the only way that

they get to experience snow is when I fill up

a small plastic tub with the stuff then bring it inside

the cottage for them to play with.They're

never quite sure what to make of it!

When it gets to the melty stage I dump

whats' left of it into the bathtub.
