I am so upset.  Ava eats and then throws up so now she is afraid of eating.  She is drinking her water.  She is laying in the sun in the window.  I am taking her to a cat hospital today.  I thouht a vet that specializes in cats would be best for Ava.  I am going to start with the $150 blood test plus $63 for the exam and see if anything shows up.  Ava is going to be 11 in April.  I started crying already because not eating is not a good sign.  My appt. is this afternoon and all I can do is say a prayer.  i love her so much.  Cat Sad

@Katcat1  I am so sorry!  I know how worried you are!  My boy, Monty, is sick and I had to take him to the vet yesterday.  He was 11 in November.  I'll be thinking of you and Ava.  Please keep us informed.

@Katcat1

I hope it is something very simple and easily corrected.

Occasionally one of our cats will have a nibble on a blanket, or a sock, something not easily passed (excuse the graphic nature of discussion) and the symptoms are similar to those you mention.

Good wishes!

Praying for you and your sweet Ava.  It is always hard when they feel under the weather.

I'm so sorry, it's awful when they don't feel well. Hopefully, they can figure out what the problem is.  I have a 15 year old kitty who has liver and kidney problems and every day I have with her is a good day.

I had the same thing with my cat and she is around the same age.  The vet suggested Hills prescription diet for sensitive stomach and it has worked wonders.

Before she would eat, then throw up.  This food dissolves quickly.  Also, the high protein food is hard on their tubbies, just in case you are feeding your cat that type.

Good luck, I'm sure it will work out.

My thoughts are with you. Iam so very sorry this is happening. Iam a huge cat lover. My cat will be 19 in march. I related to the lady that said, everyday with her cat is a good day. I understand that for sure. Sending good vibes your way!

@Katcat1 - Please report back. Hoping it turns out to be nothing serious.
