Re: Monster lizard loose in FL!

There are so many irresponsible exotic pet owners.  These people put others in danger and upset nature's balance when they are set free.

About two years ago a man near my son's neighborhood had his cobra escape.  The man lived near the school, so the children could not have recess for a few weeks in case it was lurking nearby.

One day a woman in the neighborhood went out to her garage, where her washer and dryer were located and there it was staying warm by the dryer.  It was caught and, unfortunately, I believe returned to the owner.

@denisemb

I cannot watch the video!  Anything above a few inches long is too big!

Wanted to say that, when we were in St. Thomas a few years back, the area around the hotel was filled with large iguanas.  It creeped me out!

They would come on to the beach and, often, get into fights with each other.  People said they were looking for the fruit that comes in many of the drinks.

Honestly, I just couldn't abide living in an area that had large lizards of any kind, no matter how beautiful the beaches!
