Bill is my huge orange Tabby.  He's so affectionate, it's wonderful.  His favorite thing to do is lay (yes lay) on my chest.....he purrs and give me love with his black lips.  That's what made me think of you is when you said he had black lips.  Bill has black lips too!

Big orange boys rule. The ones with pink lips rock, too. I know, I have one. Or he has me. Cat Happy

I thought I was the only one who wants to kiss animals' lips, @tends2dogs.

Not most people's, however.  Woman Wink

Speaking of, smoochies to precious Willie...

You have got that right @feline groovy about not kissing most people....I have always kissed my poochies on their black lippies......Here's one for you!20170101_170256.jpeg

Thanks everyone for the nice comments about my sweet Mercy. It does look like she took her own selfie. LOL!  I shared it because her big black nose, expressive eyebrows and the how loveable she is just gives me so much joy every day. She's the first face I see in the mornings and the last one I see at night. I was hoping if someone was having a bad day, she may cheer them up or just put a smile on a face. She destroyed my bedroom slipper last night and I still love her!!

Re: Mercy - that face!!

[ Edited ]

@MercysMom  Thanks so much......after I posted it, I thought "I hope she doesn't think I was trying to hijack her thread!"....not my intention at all.  This is a common bond of deep love for our pets!  I feel exactly the same about my Willie as you do about Mercy.

How old is she now?  I have going to ask you if she is sleeping with you yet or still in a crate?  What about when you leave her home alone?  We are still crating Willie for both.  He is 8 months now and doesn't necessarily destroy much ( he has been getting our shower towels down and chewing on them lately!).  He seems to love clothes that we have worn!  He doesn't fuss about being crated so we are good with still doing it.  He is going to be one of those dogs that has no qualms about walking on you (as in bed).  We have had dogs that were very polite about immediately lifting their foot up when they felt any part of us under it....not so with Willie LOL.

Anyway, loved Mercy's pic.  It does look like a selfie!  (she's so smart!)  Smiley Happy

@tends2dogs

Never crossed my mind that you were hijacking my post. When I share, I appreciate others sharing too. Honestly, I look forward to your responses as I know you love Willie as much as I love Mercy and they are close in age. And, when you add a pic...makes my day! She will be 10 months the first of March. The only time we crate her now is occassionally when she is relentless about begging for food while we are eating dinner. She sleeps in my room with me and she does okay when we leave her alone. She want through a destructive phase when she was a small puppy but then it stopped. I don't know why she ate my slipper last night. Hope she's not going back to old habits. As far as sharing my bed, she doesn't know the meaning of share. She lays right in my spot if I don't get there first. It's a race at night to get in the bed first. And she's solid as a rock so moving her is not easy for me. If I push on her enough, she finally moves to the foot of the bed, but she's usually in my leg space. During the night, she settles in on the other side of the bed, head on the pillow and goes to sleep. Good thing I'm not married, He'd have to move himself to the spare room. LOL!

LOL @MercysMom  We have had bed hogs, also, in the past.    We have also slept with 2 over 100 pound Old English at once in a king size bed and never knew they were there.  One curled up between our heads and the other between our feet.

When you said if you were married he would have to take to the spare bedroom, you did mean the husband, right???  LOL

Have a great day......love reading your posts, too!
