The reward offered to people was larger than 2k. I found it heartwarming that Tucker got an award, too. Tucker's humans were on the news and it was all very sweet. They mentioned the steak dinner on TV before they knew about the reward. I think that the reward puts law enforcement in a good light, especially in today's world. Its a cute dog story, and good news is always welcomed. Good boy!!

@kitcat51 From reading the "local" news website outlets (KYW/Eyewitness News, News10 & Action News) & DOTs news notifications, there are 3 awards "active."......
Pennsylvania State Police $19,500.
U.S. Marshals have issued a $7,500 reward
Warren County Crime Stoppers have issued a $2,000 reward for information leading to Burham’s capture.
Looks like the dog owners are owed 2 more. Let's see how this pans out on the local as well as the national news this evening. Should be interesting.

@PickyPicky3 Good boy, TUCKER! He helped corral a convict and alerted mom/dad of his find.

@Kachina624 - It's the same with any breed really. Airedales aren't known for being vicious. They're lovely dogs.
But depending on too much inbreeding or even just the occasional rogue dog, you'll get one with an unusual temperament.
My brother's got a pitbull mix and it's the soppiest dog you've ever seen, even though people think pitbulls are automatically vicious. A lot depends on the owner, too!

Otherwise,Burhamm would have been one cheek shy of a full butt.
2MuchTroublee I have to say that I've known many wonderful pure bred pittbulls in my life. The gentlest dog I ever met was a pure pittie. He was badly treated his entire life and when he lost a leg in an accident, he was thrown by the side of the road. My brother rescued him and he was kind, loving and bore no ill will. A true love bug. I respectfully add that you can't judge an entire breed on the actions of a few.

@DSD2 I'm pleased to share with you that we have an excellent rescue center in my home town that has rescued many a pitbull from abusive and hoarding situations, and you know what hoarders do with those animals. Many of them are just pups, and the owner/director has a real soft spot for pitties, she and her staff worked diligently to train the pups, and have successfully gotten many of the puppies adopted. Many people have taken a whole different point of view toward this breed. And the puppies certainly are adorable.
