And can anyone please tell me what kind of dog she might be, mixed or purebred. I found this baby in the middle of the road around 7:30 tonight. She was standing in the middle of the road looking like "what just happened?". It wouldn't surprise me if I passed the person who just dumped her out. She had about a 2 ft long rope around her neck. She is a mess. She's young she has spotless pink ears and beautiful strong white teeth but she's filthy. I've been gone all day and was almost home with pizza and wings. Guess who got the wings 😳. I know someone's going to chastise me for giving a dog chicken bones but she was starving and I was in no position to pick the meat off the bones as I was on a dark farm & market road with cars coming from both directions. I feared she was going to dart out in front of a car if she got spooked and afraid someone might slam into me. I got her fed and in my car. Home was about a mile and a half away. She is in a 25x25 ft flag stoned dog pen with an igloo dog house filled with cedar shavings. The dog that normally inhabits that house is out in the pasture. He has a barn to get in if he wants to.
Our two dogs are up in age and we plan to rescue one when one of them dies. I've been telling my husband that if we get a female dog I wanted to name her Chanel. Meet Chanel.
It is uncanny how both the dogs you see in one of these pictures came to be at our home. 6 and 1/2 years ago the one that you see on a leash found his way to our patio on a stormy night with tornadoes in the area. It was 6 weeks after we'd lost our chocolate lab to cancer. No one in the area had ever seen him before. I know God delivered him to me but I've often wondered if a tornado is what gently put him on our patio 🥰
Fast forward 6 and 1/2 years with another night of tornadoes in the area and even though this one didn't seek shelter under our patio, I did find her wandering lost in the area.
BTW, I had my nail appointment today and my toenails look just like the picture! I was so excited until I wasn't. While visiting my parents in a physical therapy rehab facility, I looked down and saw a large piece of tried nail polish. It had come off my big toe. It was at least 2 hours after my appointment. How did that just come off? I had sandals on. I hadn't scraped my toe in any way. I'm just confused at how that even happened. Guess I'll go back Monday and have them redo that one toenail. The look required two different polishes.

I'm so glad she found you!
Though it makes me cry to think someone could be so cruel to her, she is where she should be now-with you, where she will be loved and cared for!
That's a pretty name and it looks like your dog saying hello is being a good host❤️
I don't know what breed(s) she might be-a loveable breed?!🥰

I wonder if she is chipped?
She looks doodle-ish to me.
ETA-
Flat-coat goldendoodle is what she looks like.

@monicakm Thank you for saving her and caring for her but please please no more chicken bones! I've read horror stories of what can happen to a dogs intestines but I'm sure she loved them!

Thank you. I've never met a dog I didn't like. It's a wonder I haven't had my nose bitten off. I get nose to nose with strange dogs and tell them "I just love you SO much" LOL I can't wait to see how she cleans up I DO hope there is someone out there that is missing her and we can find them. After 6 1/2 years I think there might be someone out there still missing Howie. Not knowing is the worst.

I plan on taking her to our vet on Monday to see if she's chipped. I don't know if dogs as young as she appears to be can have heartworms. I'll ask my vet if he thinks she needs a hw test. The other dog in the photo that found us was hw positive. We got him stabilized from being shot and emaciated and then tested. Bless his heart. He had a rough year. His hw problem was to the point he was coughing. It's a hard treatment.

She did love them. I know not to give chicken bones to dogs but this was a desperate situation and one that I was playing by ear. I was taking it a minute at a time concerning what I would do/could do with her or if she would even let me get close enough to get her out of the road. It took a few chicken wings before I could get close enough.
