I remember a similar story with video where a dog had tried to climb a chain link fence, but caught his collar on the fence and was just hanging there. The responding officer managed to free the dog who immediately ran off. The officer chased him around the neighborhood, but finally lost sight of him.

When he finally gave up and got back to his patrol car, there the dog was....in the driver's seat, looking at him like, "Where YOU been?"
