Librela is a biologic pain management injectable drug. In plain terms, it's a protein which gets injected, the proteins find their way to specific nerve receptors and blocks the pain signals going to the brain. It has a less-than-50% success rate.

We use cosequin for our dog and use an orthopedic dog bed like this one... It helps with getting up and down easier on their legs, hips and they love it!

@stb13You DO NOT need to have a Facebook account to read them. You just can't post on them.

@deb5555     I LOVE ❤️ that bed!  That would be great for Ruby.  Granted, she sleeps on a futon close to my room.  However, I could put this on it for her to sleep in now.  I'd added a few extra cushions to the area she normally sleeps on, but this is just perfect!

@cheriere I would also suggest not giving any unecessary shots.  Don't give more than one at a time. Unless you board your dog or take her to a groomer, you don't have to give repeated shots.  Giving more shots does not give more immunization.  Once you have it, you have.

Good luck at the vets.  I hope he is knowledgeable on supplements.  Sadly, many aren't.  If they don't know about them, they aren't going to suggest or recommend them.

@tends2dogs    Thank you 🙏.  I've no need to board Ruby and she's honestly never around other dogs.  We live on a lot of property, so no dogs are ever even up here.

I've always wondered about the shots issue to tell you the truth.  Since she is around seven, should she still be getting immunizations for everything?  We do give her Bravecto and Heartguard.  Also, I know the vet isn't very knowledgeable on supplements.  I'm in a two vet town where everything is extremely overpriced and underwhelming.

Any information you can offer would be greatly appreciated.  Thanks again 😊💝💕

@cheriere

This is what we give our 13 year old dog. He keeps up quite well with his 2-year-old sister. Not gonna lie, you can tell the difference but I think he's doing quite well for his age. He doesn't climb chain link fences anymore but that's a good thing!

@monicakm   Thanks for showing me these supplements.  I was wondering how on earth I'd get Ruby to take something in pill form every night lol.  As long as there a tasty treat, she'll love them!❤️❤️❤️

@stb13 I give my baby MSM and glucosamine and chondroitin powder in her food every day.

She is 11 years old and has had orthopedic issues (subluxation of the joints) since she was a puppy.

No orthopedic issues since following this daily routine.

Please research Librela.

What's MSM? My Reilley is starting to favor his left left leg and lick his paws.

I have two 13 year old dogs and 1 15 year old. They all get monthly Librela injections. I can definitely see the difference afterward. They feel so much better, jump and run like they are younger. It makes me happy to see them feel better. Heck, I am waiting for the human version of Librela for my arthritis!
