@tarsmom , I had a silver lab too...he was 112 lbs at one point, English Lab, said to be stockier and thick boned. Most precious, gentle, loving dog I've ever owned. He lived to 12 1/2 yrs old. He was a rescue we found at the humane society, he was 5 months....why anyone could give him up, ill never understand. We rescued another Lab, a Yellow lab, American, completely different, much more athletic, higher energy and about 70 lbs...hes 3 yrs now. I would get another Lab if things calm down here, (too much going on in my life right now)but I'd love to find a Chocolate one. Your pup looks similar to my Silvdr guy...hes beautiful!! You'll see he'll become a gentle companion some day.

your last sentence gives me hope!
We wanted an older dog but our area only had pit bulls. My BFF has a couple of them but even though they are sweet, I am a lab or a golden lover. You were fortunate to find a great puppy!
