What happened to him that he had to have major surgery?

 He was a rscue from the streets that had been set on fire down his back when he was picked up by animal control.

He was scheduled to be euthanized because of the expense to treat his extensive burns when our rescue group agreed to pay for his treatment and find him a home.

We adopted him during that time.

Life had been good for 2-3 years, when he tore his ACL's in both legs, requiring surgery on both legs, one at a time, which has taken 6 months now to complete both.

But it was well worth it!
