Just came home from the Humane Society

And I adopted another dog.  Three hours ago I had no idea I was going to do that.  lol

I adopted an adorable little black pom in April from the same place that I've grown to love to pieces.  This afternoon  My GD sent me a picture of an identical pom that was at the shelter.  They could be sisters, same age and coloring.  So I went to "just look".  She came home with me.

Poor little thing has been so neglected.  Her fur is messy and she needs a bath.  She's 7 years old and has no teeth.  She has been debarked.  But she seems loving and calm.

Hopefully the two girls will become playmates and keep each other company.

@Scooby DooCongrats on the new addition to your family!   What a good person to take in a 7 yr old dog with no teeth.  I'm surprised the shelter didn't clean her up for you before you took her home.  I hope your first Pom likes her and they become bsst buddies.Take good care of them both - I think they are lucky dogs.  Just think - one could be Scooby, and one Do! Wow!  What a wonderful surprise!  Woman Very Happy

But this sounds like destiny, don't you think?

Congrats to the three of you, and bless you for rescuing another deserving soul.

Especially since she has suffered so much.

I think that with time, your two girls will be best friends... and provide you with much daily entertainment.  ;-)

Have you got a name for her, and what is your other pom's name?

Yeah!  Female power reigns in Scooby's home!!!

Re: Just came home from the Humane Society

Congratulations on your new little girl!  Just from reading your post I know this little angel will have a wonderful home!

Last year I went to our local shelter with my mom to help her pick out a dog (her dog had recently passed away at the time).  She didn't get one that day BUT I DID!  That makes three dogs for us, lol!  Like you, I had no plans on getting another dog but now I can't imagine our lives without her.

Thank you for rescuing her ~ it's nice to know there are people like you in the world!  :-)

I'm not allowed to go to animal control for that very reason.  Congrats on your new fur kid.

Both dogs had already been named and I don't want to confuse them by changing their names this late in their lives.  They have cute names,  Lexi and Lacey.

@Scooby Doo

God Bless you!  You're an angel!  That poor little thing.  One can only imagine what she has been through.  It was meant to be that you came through that door and came upon her.  Thank goodness for wonderful people like you.
