My friend has a cockerpoodle. She's probably around 7 or 8 years old.
She takes this dog to get massages, her teeth cleaned once a month, acpuncture and on and on.
Anyway, she was loving her up recently and found a tiny lump the size of a pea. The Dr drew out some cells and found out it was cancer.
It was recently removed and hopefully she will be fine. There were no signs of cancer at all, nothing from the dog. You just never know, I guess.
I had to come back and edit this to tell you, you have a beautiful baby! If I had a dog that's EXACTLY what I'd want my dog to look like. I always told people that. Just beautiful.

My precious girl, an English Lab, had bone cancer. Xrays looked normal; but a radiologist found the tumor - teeny-weeny. It was so small that all the cancer specialists at Tufts had to study it over and over once enlarged on a big screen.
I enlisted a vet who graduated from Tufts and also practiced acupuncture. Jade and I spent seven and one-half months together before I had to let her go.I'm praying it's a simple sprain. But if not, sure I speak for everyone else, we're here to see you through this. It's horrendous losing your soulmate, but if it's the worst case scenario, savor every moment.

The vet mentioned x-rays, but, said he did not really think it is bone or joint related. He said the acute swelling is near a lymph node. He said we would wait to see what pathology comes back with before doing anything else. Of course my Toby is on some powerful pain meds and an antibiotic . Getting them down him is a problem, though, since he is not wanting to eat right now.

Many thanks to each and every one of you who have said you would say a little prayer for my Toby. That means so much me.
And, thank you for commenting on his looks. He would be happy to know of the compliments he has gotten!
My husband picked him out of a litter to be his dog, but, over the years, (probably because I am the one that feeds him and loves on him all the time - LOL!), he has become my dog. Toby follows me from one room to another - all over the house. I can't imagine not having him here with me. I have another little dog that is a 16 & 1/2 year old dachsund. I have been expecting to lose him, but never dreamed I could lose Toby first.

I agree, he is quite a handsome boy. He has a beautiful head on him. I'm hoping it won't be serious. If it is, perhaps it has been caught in time.

This may help: wrap the meds in Kayem Polish Loaf - never met a furbaby who didn't love it!

@moon_gazer I can't stop thinking about you and your baby boy, my heart is aching. When will you get the results? I always had luck giving my dogs a pill by putting it in a teaspoon of peanut butter. Is he drinking water? The main thing is to keep him out of pain and hydrated. Please let me know how he is doing.

moon_gazer, I always gave my dog his medicine in the Greenies Pill Pockets. He loved the Hickory Smoked flavor. They have them at Pet Smart and also our vet had them. Im praying for you and your beaautiful dog.

My prayers are with you and your baby. My cat had blood test, was fine. A month later had cancer. The Dr. Said does not show up in regular bloodwork.
