My dogs are both rescues so I don't know their birthdays.  I told them today was their "special" day.  Don't know what I'd do without them.

@Greeneyedlady21I have a west highland terrier and every day at my house is "dog day."  He is my greatest joy and I can not imagine a day without my little buddy!  God knew what he was doing when he created  Mans Best Friend.

@Boomernichols:  Couldn’t help but see your post (to someone else) and wanted you to know, I’m a Westie mama, too. My Sammy is eight and I wholeheartedly agree every day is his day. 

He is not a rescue (he was gift) but I feel he rescued me.

To all of you who own dogs, you are blessed and full of kindness and goodness.  You have a loyal, loving , helpful companion who is always by your side in good and bad times.  I only wish dogs and cats could live as long as humans!!!
