I'm sorry everything's hitting you all at once @Wheatchick1.  That happened to me this summer.  I had new siding put on my house, my front porch painted, my screened in porch stained and bought a new garage door.  After all that got started I found out I had a foundation problem and a water problem under my house and had to have both of those things fixed.  It was horrible.

 

After your mother gets down to a certain amount of money she can go on Medicaid, can't she?  I know that's not ideal, but that happened to the mother of a friend of mine.  My father is 89 years old and living in an independent living facility, which is $3,000 a month.  He's in the beginning stages of Alzheimer's.  He's not very bad, but he forgets things.  I hope he never has to go to Assisted Living or a nursing home.  He's in a lot of pain with his back and is ready to die, although he does enjoy his friends there.
