@GoneButNotForgottenYes, please share what you will be feeding your older gal, Missy. I am going thru a similar situation sortof, with my older gal, but she is only 15!!! I've had her since she was about 3.
I feel that her dry food is constipating for her. It is a Vet Rx approved food for gastro-enteric associated problems. I had her to the Vet yesterday and after I did some online research about her problem, I sought his approval to slowly switch her over to this other dry food which addresses her problem.
And thank you for adopting your senior lady. I don't understand people who dump their animals for any reason. They are part of your family and you just don't think of doing something like that. Makes me so mad when I see animals mistreated or abused or left behind. Gggrrrrrrrrrrrr
Anyway, I hope your cat continues to improve and be happy and content.
