Oh no, I hate to read about your poor Ava's illness.

To give you some hope, we went through something similar a while ago with our doggo (15 years old Papillon). I actually thought he would not pull through because he was so miserable and ill (from what I had read googling his symptoms I thought he might have Pancreatitis). The only good thing was that even though he was throwing up everything else he could still drink and keep water down.

Long story short, going from scaring us so badly, he is back to 100% normal, and I hope and pray for you that Ava has the same good news! {{hugs with pets for Ava}}

@NickNack I am so sorry Ava is so sick, I will be praying for her to pull through. I almost lost my 12 year old Scottie this summer to a similar set of symptoms, and it turned out that he had eaten a wisteria seed pod, which is actually wildly poisonous. It nearly killed his liver, and his Cushing's meds were actually making him feel even worse, so we had to stop the trilostane for 10 days, but he did pull through in the end, and is now just fine again, back to his Puppy Peter Pan self. I hope Ava feels all our prayers and good wishes, and that they help her get better, and help you feel some comfort as well.
