I'm so happy to hear this wonderful update!  It sounds like the perfect situation for everyone.  I'm glad it was such an easy transition for Jake.  This was a very special thing you and your husband did for his friend.

And I want to add, every time we took our dog to the groomer. When we picked him up, he was one good looking dog and I swear he knew it too. He liked the warm bath and the girls fussing over him.

@KBEANS  Your post made my heart sing!  It brought memories of our Jake, who will be gone from us 3 years this December.  He was the sweetest, but was such a character as well.   So happy for you that Jake is doing so well in your home.  The best is yet to come.
