I lived there for one year.  My home was on a bulk headed lagoon, which made it difficult for the alligators to get up to your home. I installed on the back door a music box that played see you later alligator.  I never saw one come up on the grass area. There were plenty in the lagoon.  It was actually our entertainment from our porch.  Some of them were like clock work, just like the people going to "early bird specials".🐊

 

It was 30 years ago,  understand there are many more now.
