I take my dog to the groomer every 6 - 8 weeks for a bath, the bill is $56 and I usually give her $65 which would be a tip of $9. I think this is reasonable because it usually takes her about 30 - 35 minutes and then I figure she may have another 10 minutes to clean up afterwards. So if you round it off to an hour of work the tip is over minimum wage and of course I'm sure she gets a portion of the fee I have paid or an hourly wage from the salon.
I just want to make sure I am tipping a fair amount. Thanks in advance for your thoughts.

I take my dogs to the groomers three times a year. They get bathed and a light hair clip and nails cut. She charges $55 each. I give her $135, which is a $25 tip.
My dogs are small and I groom them at home in between visits..

i tip my hairstylist 20% and I like to think I’m an easier client than my dog is so I tip his groomer 20%, too. My dog’s appointment takes 2 to 3 hours.

I pay twice what she charges because she has a small animal rescue and I consider it my donation. She works hard to find homes for the animals she takes in and her vet bills are very high.
