Horse fun in summer

Who’s enjoying more time with their horse(s) now that it’s “unofficially” summer? Would love hearing about your activities, past and present!

I trailride. Here in PA the weather hasn’t cooperated as much as I’d like but we’ve been getting out between rainstorms.

I watch "Heartland." I love horses.:heart. Wanted one since I was a little girl. Someday ... but for now I live through others and their stories.

One of the funniest things I ever saw was when our Aussie Terrier was "herding" his soccer ball around the field (it was kinda deflated) and all of a sudden one of our horses picked it up and ran with it. Dog was ?????? totally mindblown and horse was happy and yard boss again. A horse with a soccer ball in his mouth is quite a sight. So funny watching dogs and horses play. Good buddies.

@rms1954. Heartland is possibly the best TV series I've ever seen. I'm impatiently waiting for Season 11.

Growing up I would sit in the wooden horse trough (where we fed them) on long summer afternoons and read and they would come stand by me, sometimes reaching to touch me with their nose, be scratched or just blow a little air on me the way horses do or just stand and loll along side me.
