Henry Today (Fri., Sept. 15)

[ Edited ]

I just took this picture of Henry.  He has been playing all afternoon and decided to rest for a while.  I just got down on the floor and got three toys out from underneath my armoire.  I had to use a ruler to get them.  Since it's been five years since I've had a cat I'd forgotten how cat toys get "lost" so often!  He has a favorite little bear that he loves.  I bought two back-up bears in case it gets lost.  He is now around 4 1/2 mos. old.

I think he's put on weight in the cheeks.  His face looks broader.  He's so darn stinkin' cute.

Thanks @Kachina624.  I just went back and looked at pictures from the day I brought him home, and you're right.  His face is definitely broader.  He's much longer, too, when he stretches out.

He's just such a dear little fellow, and such a serious expression! He looks as if he's about to call a meeting to order. It's wonderful to think that he'll always have that adorable grey chin and a tiny nose. It's funny to see that gravity in such a fluffy package.

@NickNack, I discovered that if you don't have a yardstick handy, a long paint stirring stick, made for a 5-gallon bucket of paint, is the perfect thing to reach under most deep chests and sofas to retrieve toys. I now keep one upstairs and routinely sweep out the balls and ****** toys that get batted under the dressers.
