@Desertdi, to me the cats look like some variety of "hairless" cats like the Sphynx. 

 

To me the hairless cats always look emaciated.

 

This made me think of a Pom/Pap mix I once had.  He looked chunky even though he wasn't but after a bath while still wet he looked skeletal.

What is good for the goose today will also be good for the gander tomorrow.
