Today my sweet little cat, BooBoo, turns 14 years old!
We adopted him from a no-kill shelter close by, MEOWS; he was 4 months old and had been left as a 3 week old baby. As DH strolled by his cage, Boo batted his paw at my DH as if to say, "Daddy! take me home!" So we did.
He isn't a real food-oriented cat so we bought him a toy and I ordered a birthday cake from the local Safeway bakery (they make the best cakes! even better than Costco) and we had a little party for him yesterday.
Today our cleaning ladies are coming over to clean the house and we saved some cake and ice cream for them too. I'm so glad we still have our beautiful little baby boy still with us; I hope we'll have him with us next year too. One way or another, I'm going to get my DH to post a picture of him; you'll fall in love with his sweet, slightly inquisitive expression and his clear eyes.
If you wish, have a little treat of some kind today in honor of sweet BooBoo's birthday. I love you, Baby Boy!
