(Kiku and I just had our one year anniversary of her adoption. She's somewhere between 7 and 8, so they say. Time is too short altogether.)

Thank you @GingerPeach . Happy Anniversary to you and Kiku! I'm sure you'll believe me when I tell you that the hat stayed on just long enough to take the picture. 
Frankie got a little stuffed cat that she just loves. No birthday cake though.
