I'm getting ready to make the bed this morning and discover a wet spot on the sheets. Oh great!  And then I notice the quilt also has a wet spot. So, I turn over the comforter and there it is, a big hairball surrounded by a big wet spot with food in it.  All that liquid had soaked all the way through the comforter, quilt, and sheets.  Guess I'm doing laundry today.  Why oh why can't they do that on the hard floor?

I feel your pain!  At my house, it seems to happen right after I change the sheets.  How do they know!?

@Icegoddess

I always breathe a sigh of relief when my cats can manage to make the tile floor instead of my bed or the carpet.  One day I even had to text my friend when the dog made it all the way outside before her accident!🤣

It seems to be especially bad this summer.  Even with constant brushing, all of my animals are shedding nonstop.🤮

@Desertdi But, he knows I always make the bed.  Now, if he had waited until I made the bed and left the house, yeah.

@Icegoddess I also have kitties who manage to miss the hard floor!   Obviously, if it's bedding it goes right in the washer, but I've found a  spray carpet cleaner at Home Depot called 'FOLEX' that is the best cleaner and/or stain remover for carpets.  It's much better than any other I've used, and I've used them all!

Oh my goodness! That is funny, but not really. I had that happen once. In the middle of the night, my husband rolled over on a hairball. We turned on the light an spotted the nasty little thing. Haven't thought about that in a long time. Iam willing to put up with that from time to time, to have my sweet 20 year old sheila. Like you mentioned, why cant they barf up a hairball on the floor that is easy to clean, and not the bed or carpet?
