Stanley Cup our tuxedo boy, has been impossible to put into the travel kennel. Hence he's behind on vaccines. Dr prescribed Gabapentin, one dose the night before and one does the morning of his appt. Tonight DH and I had a wrestling match with him. DH got some bloody injuries. But I got that 1 ml dose into the wildcat. When it kicked in he spent the evening rolling around on the catio, chill as can be. 😊 hopefully we can load his happy butt into the kennel tomorrow. Lol

I used to wrap a bath towel around my mean cat.  Meanest cat ever.  The neighbor's German Shepard and Boston Terrior were terrified of him--chased them all around the block.  

So I would swaddle him in a towel and the vet would smile and say "You hold him, he'll be more comfortable that way."  Oh sure you and your 6-ft. muscle man attendant are so worried about the cat. . .

Same problem in this household.  When we got to the vet she had to turn the kennel upside down to get the cat out.

@Sooner Just curious,   Was he more comfortable with you holding him than fighting for his freedom against Strangers?

IF it's a choice of my "Meanest cat ever" having to be Manhandled to get the job done, or me holding him wrapped up,  I think I'd be glad I was given the chance to try that first.
