Goldstock: Woodstock for golden retrievers

If you have a golden retriever, or a dog that looks like a golden retriever, there is an event in the Pennsylvania area called "Goldstock" in which dogs and dog rescue are celebrated.

It begins in early September.

wow.  now THAT would be a trip!   i have been to a couple of dog shows in the last year or so, and twice i came across a ring with all goldens.  both in the ring and all around the ring.   it was a TRIP to see them because they all look EXACTLY the same!  i kinda felt like i was in the twilight zone or something!  just not used to seeing the dogs all look EXACTLY the same.  

 

anyway, that woodstock for goldens sounds like a FUN thing to do if you have goldens!

OMG, wouldn't that be an awesome trip, being surrounded by all those beauties?  I actually thought about it for a minute until I realized it's bad timing for my DH and his job.

That would be so much fun, but I don't think my collies would pass as goldens, although on is very gold.
