Give A Dog A Home - Live...Tonight on AP

Not sure how it will work, therefore not sure how I feel about this yet, but...tonight on Animal Planet 8:00-10:00PM  ET is a live program called "Give A Dog A Home - Live" with the hope of placing shelter dogs with their new families. I sure hope there is a process for checking out where they are going to see if it is good for the animal.

I don't think I like this.  I don't see how the homes could be checked out well enough.  I'd be interested in hearing more about the process though.

I would think they work with shelters nationwide, perhaps, to do the verification on people.  And maybe have volunteers willing to transport the dogs to appropriate shelters once the people have been checked out.  Just my thought....but any way to find a dog a loving home is worth any extras needed to ensure this works out.
