If you have puppies, check out the fleece throws that are down to $3.00 now at WM. They are in the home section with other blankets, so they aren't just for pets. They have them every year and no, they are not huge -

50"x 60", but are great for a dog bed or to put on a chair or bed to protect it from the shedding. My cat loved one on our bed. I bought a couple of them a few years ago to use on the stroller when I walked my grad baby...really protected her legs from the cold air. They are still being used for the third and fourth babies and look great. I also bought several to put in backpacks for the homeless our city collects every year and donate a few to a dog and cat shelter.
