Pet Lovers

My son is a big animal lover and devotes some of his time off from work by being a TNR volunteer in our town.  He oversees a colony not far from where we live.  About two weeks ago, he noticed a new cat that he had never seen before.  This cat seemed very shy and didn't seem accepted.  The colony is located not in an area where most people would know it exists.  

The first time he noticed this new kitty, she ran right up to him as he was crouching down to feed and wanted pets and was bumping his hand.  She actually tried getting under his arm as he was getting the food.   Obviously, she's not a feral and had human contact.  It appears someone dumped her for whatever selfish reason.  So, he decided to foster her because he knew she didn't belong in a feral colony and would make a wonderful pet for someone.  

We've had her about 10 days and she will be going to the vet for shots, etc.  What a sweetheart!   He named her RUBY because he said she's a sparkling little gem!   Meet RUBY!

What a wonderful son you have, @ciao_bella ! And such a pretty kitty too. I'm sure he is right, someone dumped kitty, or he/she is lost. Either way he has done a wonderful thing for kitty, I hope she finds a new family soon.

I hope he keeps her, she seems to have imprinted and formed a very special bond with him. It seems Cats choose us, not the other way around. She is gorgeous!
