@Julie_23  Very cute, thank you for sharing.  Do you know why she is being raised by people and not her mother / parents?  Is it just because she was premature?

Hi @ValuSkr -- she is being cared for by zoo staff because she was born 6 weeks early and about 25 lbs underweight.  Initially, they tried to see if she'd be able to feed naturally but after 30 minutes of watching her right after the birth, it didn't seem that she was strong enough.  Also, too, the mom kind of just sniffed her and let her be.  I believe that is when the zoo staff stepped in.

 

I love reading the updates on her (initial link in original post).  She is such a cutie!!!!
