Experience with Simparica for your furbaby....

My Vet wants to start my Morkie on Simparica. I have never used this for Heartworm and fleas.

 

Apparently there are chews or an external application.

 

The last heartworm meds I used made my Maltese so sick. Any thoughts or experiences with this one?

@Nataliesgramma   I switched to Simparica for my dog and she hasn't had a reaction, it's just 1 pill!

I have always used the topical Revolution, waited two weeks and then Parastar.  My vet said they do not use this anymore and gave me the Simprica pill that has everything in it (not like the older version) apparently this is a three in one pill.  I am scheduled to give it to my Molly around 10/13 so my fingers are crossed that it will agree with her.

I have used it for 3 months now.  The first month both of my Border/Aussies were scratching like crazy.  My vet said to try it again the following month to see what happens.

There was less scratching; and by the 3rd month of giving it to them there was no scratching.  Always had used Revolution up to that point.
