I buy peanut butter with NO sugar (Laura Scudder's).  I let the dog lick it off the spoon occasionally.  Also he gets small pieces of cheese as snacks.  Sometimes I buy commercial treats, but not often. If I guy, I purchase Merrick or Canidae, no cheap ones.  I don't trust them.
