My dog was allergic and, besides medicated baths often, I rubbed her down with pure aloe vera. You can find it in any health store. Lily of the Desert is one brand. It is not expensive. It is messy when you first put it on but it is absorbed in the skin and will not mess up furniture once the dog is dry. It helps with allergies, bites, skin erruptions,,,,
It soothes, calms and heals. It can be safely ingested, in case the dog licks it.
