@okaywitheasypay, this is a name we considered when we got our dog 10 years ago. We went with something else but I always liked that one.

Re: Do You Want To Help Name My Puppy?

@Winkk, they (can't remember who "they" are but anyhow) always say to go yell the names you want to give your kids out the back door about a dozen times to see how you like it then so I'd think that would work for your dog too. But I think Amber is a beautiful name and very fitting. Everyone had good suggestions but go with what you think is best. I can't wait to hear if you stick with Amber or go with something else.  She is beautiful! Congratulations!

Re: Do You Want To Help Name My Puppy?

Because that color ruby is to refer to her russet red color, I would call her Rouge. I'd offer Rose, also, but that could become Rosie. And you prefer  to avoid the ee sounds.

We all know rouge was the word for the makeup applied to cheeks to give that warm red hue of glowing health. So Rouge would cover your little spaniel's color as well as be a pretty name.

Enjoy your puppy when she arrives in your home. Im sure waiting for her to grow enough to be ready for your care. will be a hard thing, but you will have time to get ready for her. King Charles Cavaliers are my favorite breed. Such loving and sweet dogs.

Re: Do You Want To Help Name My Puppy?

I am partial to:  Belle

One poster suggested 2 names (or more) for AKC, this is recommended especially if breeding or showing.    My dog was purchased from a breeder in VA, hence her full name ..."Sofie Virginia Belle."  You have 30 spaces to use for AKC registry...have fun with it!                                     @Carmie

@giraffe77   I have had four CKCS From three different breeders.  The breeders all show their dogs and are members the CKCS clubs.

All my dogs are registered under their kennel names.

Example:

kennel name Texas Lonestar.

Dogs name: Suzie

AKC registration Texas Lonestar Suzie.

I had to use the kennel name, no choice.  The breeder registered the dogs for me.

I strongly prefer human names for pets. I believe a dignified name would be appropriate. Charles? Jack? Dexter? Connor? Sebastion? Anton? I like Connor for this cute baby.

@Goldengate8361

Me too! But it's a girl Woman Very Happy

Since she's a Brit I'm thinking Braunwyn or Fiona

@Carmie--I like Suzie's registered name, sounds regal.  My three AKC breeders did not require me to use their kennel names for my dogs' registration.  However, with my cat (my avatar), the CFA breeder mandated it ... "Kutzikoo Gabriella Lace."

I liked my cat breeder's name so I did not mind including it on the registration form .  I gave "Gabby" a second name "Lace" which was my Himalyan before her who passed.
