I remember Murphy well and the above post is correct.  Dan was still married to his first wife during some of Murph's life.   Dan later married Murphy's trainer who is his current wife.  I always figured they met on the set of QVC, although I don't know that for sure.

It makes sense that his dog trainer's wife's (and therefore his too) dogs are QVC "models."

 

All the dogs I've owned have been Australisn Sheperds, high-energy and highly intelligent dogs.

 

And one of the best at Fly Disc!
