I believe it's perfectly fine to converse with your cat!

I not only talk to my dog, but answer his questions and follow his orders, e.g., when to get my ess in gear when breakfast/dinner is late or give him whichever cookie he wants whenever.  I also get the ahemmm treatment when he just wants to doze in be dudisturbed.

The way ourfurbabies seem to control our behaviors, I'd say they are really smarter than than us.Woman Wink

Talking to pets is perfectly normal and I know they listen no matter what it is.  I just wish they could give advice but allowing me to express myself in any way I want is a perk for me!!

DH and I both talk to our kids, and when we have to leave the house DH always appoints one of them to be in charge!

My cat and I have regular conversations.  Sometimes she answers in her meows and sometimes I have to read her body language for a response.
