Cute idea but I'd plant some bushes underneath to catch them WHEN they jump out of it.  It needs a higher barrier.

I don't have dogs but that setup makes me nervous. Those dogs will get hurt when, not if, they jump out. A big NO for me.

I can just see a coyote going nut trying to get those little digs.  Really bad idea for several reasons.
