I had a smooth collie for awhile.  I wrote about her in a thread here called "help with my girl" yesterday.  I could groom her in 30 seconds.  She had all the beautiful collie atributes.

@Citrine1.   The kennel is Rainshade Collies.  Look up their website and eat your heart out.  They sort of specialize in blue merles.  The owner is a vet and a specialist in canine genetics.  She literally wrote the book on collies.  She breeds very few litters these days and does not show her dogs.  Many of them have been exported, especially to Australia.  As far as I know, all her dogs are artifically inseminated with ****** from dogs that died years ago.  Rainshade Collies have "a look" that differentiates them from other Collies.  They also have superior temperaments and health.

Interesting information @Kachina624.  I know that some people are crazy about the blues.  Me, not so much.  I'm a big sable and white fan.  I will definitely look at the website.  Thank you.  

My breeder is on the East Coast, but I believe there are Tartansides all over the United States.

Just spent a few minutes looking around the website @Kachina624.  I'll go back tomorrow and spend more time there.  Striking dogs.  All of them are spectacular!

I think the name of my brothers breeder was called Collies and Ponies. 

So how is the little guy doing? And how are you doing? It is going to be such a fun time.

Not one of the cutest, the cutest.  Love this.  Looked at the kennel website, what absolutely fantastic dogs.   All the colors!!  I understand that the coat requires a lot of care and if I were up for that I would love one of these dogs.  Weren't  you the one a few Xmas' ago that posted collies in the back of a station wagon all wearing Xmas bows at that seasonal time?  Loved that too.

@drizzellla. I didn't get over to see Myst today.  I though it best for him to settle in before meeting strangers.  He probably slept most of the day today.

I never heard of Collies and Ponies, but it sounds like my kind of place.

He is so gorgeous ! I had a beautiful collie growing up. His name was Lucky. What a great friend he was. Still miss him.
