Hi @Julie_23 ! First of all thank you for opening your heart to a special lucky little lady! We've had many combinations of rescues throughout the years. It does depend on their personalities. DH (a veterinarian) usually recommends more than one cat, if possible, especially if they are going to be alone a good part of the day. If you are thinking about another female, you might want to adopt one who is not a calico - they are sweet, but they can be divas in a more than one female household.
If you adopt or rescue one younger than 3, your current kitty might assume a dominant role. I'm sure you know this, but introduce them to each other slowly, especially giving your current kitty lots of love and attention. Two kitties - or more - are a lot of fun to have in your family and will bring you so much joy! ![]()
