CHERRY EYE IN DOG

Has anyone experienced Cherry Eye in their dog. At least i think that's what it is from looking on-line. My 7 month old Shorkie has had this since Thursday - vet appt. tomorrow.

@KACEE1115 I'm so sorry your dog might have cherry eye. I researched that recently when my dog developed an eye problem. I thought that might be it, but it wasn't. Your Vet may need to refer you to an ophthalmologist. I hope that won't be necessary, but in my case it made all the difference in the world to my dog.

Yes, we had a dog with cherry eye. A minor surgical procedure got him squared away. These do have a tendency to repeat, but this only happened once to us. Don't fear...just cuddle your pup and before you know it, it's back to business and your dog will be more comfortable!

@KACEE1115 yes, our dog had it also. Just as @Sammycat1 said, minor fix and back to life as usual. It never returned.

Chip had his surgery Friday 2/8. By Saturday, he was back to his old self. Eye looks great. Now trying to keep him from jumping and running. :-) Thank you everyone!
