The road that I live on has been in

existance since the early 1700's.

All of the homes on it have wells.

We are not connected to the county

sewer system which is fine by me...

one less insane utility bill to pay!

Many homes are built along the

side of the mountain and are not

near the road and there are quite

a few homes that date back to the

1700's.

Therefore when we loose power...in

addition to no lights,radio,cable,internet,etc.

we don't have water because the pumps

won't work.

When I brought Henry home he

spent the first 3 weeks of August

under my bed...only came out to

eat and use the litter box.

At the time I had Tabitha,Sophie,Maggie

and Samantha.Two months later I had to

send my Maggie to The Bridge and two days

later Sandy hit.

Of those four girls only Samantha...she

turned 17 in May... is still with me.
